Federal HUD Complaints and Further Enforcement Action to Follow
CHICAGO, Dec. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- FightPulte.com, FightDiVosta.com and FightDelWebb.com will hold a Chicago news conference Monday, December 11th to announce a new online database complaint file directed at one of thenation's largest home building firms, Pulte Homes, DiVosta Homes and Del Webb. The news conference will also brand the "Pulte Homes Family" as
America's "#1 violator of federal and state housing laws," says Executive Director Andy Martin.
"Two years ago we formed a series of web sites to fight abusive corporate practices by the Pulte Companies," says former Adjunct Law Professor Martin. "The complaints trickled in. Then the trickle became a small flood. Since homebuilders began facing a tighter market in 2006 the
Pulte-DiVosta-Del Webb companies appear to have become increasingly abusive towards potential customers.
"The online database complaint file will post many, though not all, of the complaints we receive against Pulte, DiVosta and Del Webb. It took us a while to get up and running, but Monday we will be 'up.'
"Personally, I am particularly concerned by the Pulte Companies' predatory practices against senior citizens. America is aging, and the market and potential customers for new housing are also aging. Many of these persons are vulnerable. We must stamp out elder abuse by Pulte,
DiVosta and Del Webb.
"We are also planning a renewed series of complaints, and ongoing cooperation, with the U.S. Department of Housing. HUD officials have become increasingly concerned by predatory lending and sales practices of homebuilders," Martin states.
Martin is the Executive Editor of ContrarianCommentary.com, an Internet newspaper.
