Tremont Homes
Condo owner denied access to her property
Monday, 10 October 2005
Tremont Tower's management bars a condo owner from her own unit
Every week for nearly a month, Mickelson and the guard have had the same face-off: The blond executive assistant walks up to the door of her building and asks to get in. She hasn't committed crimes or thrown wild parties. She's up to date on her homeowners association fees and doesn't even own a pet. Other people just like her live in the same upper floor of the same building. They come and go as they please. And yet, like a persecuted character from a Kafka novel, she's mysteriously turned away.

Better Business Bureau Takes Action
Thursday, 07 July 2005
Contractors From Hell…Not at the BBB!
Tremont failed to take the ethically correct route and chose to pursue their case through the AAA.  Due process was followed at the BBB and they were ultimately revoked from the Bureau.  The language on their BBB report reflects the same.  Ms. Fogle continues to wage war with Tremont, only to find herself being personally sued for her troubles.  Tremont has also sued another of their residents in Tremont Towers for painting lemons on her windows.  Last report to this office indicated that the judge at that hearing commended her on her artwork.

Not quite lemonade, but at least some conciliation
“You’re simply not going to see companies like this remain in the Better Business Bureau,” said BBB spokeswoman Kim Lawrence of Tremont Homes, Stature Construction and several other listings involving the same principals...“They’ve got 14 or 16 corporations, but in our eyes they are still one member,” she said.

Mother Jones Magazine Features Jordan Fogal
Saturday, 25 June 2005

 Home Sour Home
When Jordan Fogal's new house turned out to be a lemon, her builders and theTexas authorities thought they could handle things quietly.  They didn't know Jordan Fogal.... Seduced by beauty, certain of value, the Fogals bought the home in April 2002 for  $368,564, investing nearly everything they had... Jordan had looked forward to a leisurely life taking care of her new house and writing memoirs, but when the builders would not fix the structure, and when no authority would compel them to do it, Jordan experienced, for the first time, an in-justice she could not endure. On a street corner near her house, the 59-year-old Republican began picketing for all she was worth.
A most compelling article.  Don’t miss this one...
