Americas Watchdog Warnings - Chinese Drywall
Tuesday, 17 March 2009

Americas Watchdog Warns Florida & Virginia Homeowners About A Quick Fix For Toxic Chinese Drywall & WarnsThe Gloves Are Off
Americas Watchdog & Its Homeowners Consumer Center have been the leaders in a national, and state by state investigation of toxic Chinese drywall in Florida, Virginia and numerous other US states. Americas Watchdog is now warning homeowners in Florida, Virginia and other states; "do not accept a homebuilders offer to re-drywall their home, until we have had a chance to see if the toxic gasses emitted by the Chinese drywall have not penetrated your studs, your plywood, your trusses, and your furniture. We are strongly encouraging homeowners to not accept the quick fix, before we have better science."

We are strongly encouraging homeowners to not accept the quick fix, before we have better science." The group wants to hear from homeowners in Florida or Virginia in larger subdivisions, or condominiums, who have received the re-drywall offer, before they sign anything with the builder. The Homeowners Consumer Center also thinks air conditioning manufacturers may have colluded with homebuilders, to conceal the toxic nature of the Chinese drywall from unsuspecting US homeowners since 2005 or 2006. Note to national press: "this is the largest homeowner product defect/ environmental disaster in US history. Would someone please get this on the AP wire, & contact NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox & CNN about the worst case of toxic Chinese products ever. Homeowners or Media can contact the Homeowners Consumer Center at 866-714-6466, or contact them at their web site at Http://HomeownersConsumerCenter.Com

our union members would not hang the drywall, because it stunk, and or it made our workers sick.

(PRWEB) March 16, 2009 -- In December of 2008, Americas Watchdog discovered that toxic Chinese drywall had been used in sub divisions and condominiums in Florida. Since that time the Homeowners Consumer Center was the first to discover the toxic Chinese drywall is in nearly all US States, and Canada, and the group was the first to come up with a list of indicters for homeowners, to assist them in determining if they might have this gypsum board building product in their home. Now the group is warning about homebuilder quick fixes, that may not fix the problem, in Florida, or Virginia subdivisions, or condominium projects, until there is science to prove re-dry-walling a home, town home, or condominium will actually fix the problem. According to the Homeowners Consumer Center, "if the toxic gasses emitted by the Chinese drywall has penetrated the wood studs, plywood, trusses & furniture of the home; a re-drywall, may not be enough to make the house safe. If you live in a subdivision, or condominium project, and the homebuilder has made you the re-drywall offer, call us first before you accept any offer." Homeowners, or the news media wishing more information can call the Homeowners Consumer Center anytime at 866-714-6466 or contact them via their web site at Http://HomeownersConsumerCenter.Com News Image

The Gloves Come Off----Facts About The Toxic Chinese Drywall For Homeowners & The News Media

In 2004 there was a shortage of US drywall, because of the US housing boom. Hurricane Katrina made the drywall shortage even worse, with desperate homeowners in the gulf states wishing to rebuild their homes. US homebuilders had already been importing toxic Chinese drywall. Katrina accelerated the importation of this product.

Question: Homebuilders never knew there was a problem with the imported drywall from China?

Answer: Americas Watchdog is not buying it. Union Painters & Drywall officials have told Americas Watchdog that, "our union members would not hang the drywall, because it stunk, and or it made our workers sick."

Question: So who installed most of the drywall in new homes in most US States from 2004-2007?

Answer In most US States, in particular Florida, California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Virginia, the DC Metro, New Jersey, Texas, Oregon, the Carolina's, Georgia, New Mexico and Pennsylvania the installers were undocumented workers, (cash crews, paid off by a labor coyote, or Mexican organized crime syndicates).

Question: What about the air conditioning manufacturers? Wouldn't the AC manufacturers have noticed that all of a sudden air conditioning coils, that typically last 10 to 15 years were all of a sudden burning out in 8 months, to a year----by the thousands?

Answer: Americas Watchdog intends to find out. "If you work for an air conditioning manufacturer, and you are aware of a special (wink-wink) deal between AC makers & homebuilders, we want you to contact us at 866-714-6466, or contact us via our web site at Http://HomeownersConsumerCenter.Com

Question:How many new US homes, condominiums or town homes could be affected with the toxic Chinese drywall?

Answer: According to Americas Watchdog, "we will find the imported toxic Chinese drywall in every US State, with the heaviest concentrations in the US Southeast, the Gulf States, the US Southwest, Texas, the Mountain West, the DC Metro areas & throughout the Western Provinces of Canada. We think there are at least 3000,000 new US homes that contain the imported Chinese drywall, & probably 10,000 to 15,000 homes throughout the Western Provinces of Canada." Most of these homes were built between 2003 & 2007.

What Are The Indicators Of A Home or Condominium Having Toxic Chinese Drywall?

  • The house has to have been built or remodeled after 2000.Most homes that will have the toxic Chinese drywall were built between 2004 & 2007
  • There may be a rotten egg, sulfur-type, or acid type smell in the home or condominium.
  • Homeowners, building owners, or occupants in most cases will have seen continuous failures of their air conditioning coils, or HVAC units beyond anything normal.
  • Homeowners, building owners, or occupants may have noticed corroded, or black electrical wiring in their walls, in properties built, or remodeled since 2001. Homeowners who suspect their home may have the Chinese drywall can remove electrical receptacle plates to see if the cooper ground wire has turned black. If a homeowner in any state see's this, they should call the Homeowners Consumer Center immediately at 866-714-6466.
  • Homeowners, building owners or occupants may have experienced mild to severe upper respiratory problems, nose bleeds, headaches or other potentially serious medical conditions.
  • Oven, or stove elements, or refrigerator coils may have failed in the homes, or condominiums a number of times.
  • Silver jewelry or silver plated utensils may be tarnished.
  • Family pets may have died from exposure in US homes with Chinese toxic drywall.

Americas Watchdog is calling the imported toxic Chinese drywall issue, "the single worst environmental, and serious health disaster ever faced by US & Canadian homeowners. We are with you, and we will do our best to protect you, and to keep you informed about this disaster." For more information, homeowners who know, or suspect they have the imported Chinese drywall in their home, subdivision, condominium or town home, or members of local or national members of the news media, please call the Homeowners Consumer Center anytime at 866-714-6466 or contact them via their web site at Http://HomeownersConsumerCenter.Com

Americas Watchdog's Homeowners Consumer Center is all about homeowner protection & corporate responsibility.
