City Officials Slow To Respond to Fairhaven Homeowners Concerns

Schertz â€“ Fairness for Fairhaven NOW families will attend the Schertz City Council meeting again tonight to express their disappointment for the slow response by the city to home construction defects caused by Pulte Homes.

Location:  Schertz City Council
1400 Schertz Parkway, Building 4

Time and Date:  Tuesday, January 17, 6:00 PM

In previous meetings with city staff and Mayor Hal Baldwin homeowners have regularly addressed the city council requesting the names of the engineers involved in the Fairhaven development, including retaining walls as well as copies of the phase 1 development study, and engineered foundation designs.  Thus far the city has not provided the information.

This past Saturday sixty homeowners participated in a mass mailing of buy back letters to Pulte Homes.  Fifty copies of the letters were also sent to federal, state and local elected officials, including Mayor Baldwin asking for assistance

Due to Pulte’s non-responsiveness, homeowners will increase their efforts this Saturday January 21 by protesting at Pulte Homes Subdivisions in the area.

Frustrated with Pulte Homes lack of response to foundation failures, construction issues and expansive movement in retaining walls residents say the associated stigma is affecting home values and the ability to sell homes in the community.
