Georgia Homeowners seek consumer protection of a
New Home Lemon Law

â Disgruntled Homeowners gathered at the Capitol to support the need for a New Home Lemon Law and attest to shoddy homebuilding practices in
Georgia
, worthless home warranties, and no builder accountability due to forced binding arbitration, which denies homebuyers access to the courts.
The April 14, 2010 edition of Forbes Magazine published an article titled âEight Dream-Home Dupes â New building exploded during the housing boom. So did lazy construction practices.â
Another study by JD Power and Associates found that new home complaints were on the rise, ranging from nail pops, lower-quality wiring, to walls and foundation cracks.

last year to support the Arbitration Fairness Act (AFA) filed by Congressman Hank Johnson and Senator Russ Feingold that is currently pending in Congress.
