Dwayne Keith Campbell first said the looking was part of his job.
After a brief conversation, he admitted to "window peeping," Thomas said.
Campbell was cited for disorderly conduct, a Class C misdemeanor that carries a fine of up to $500.
Later, Campbell was fired from Lennar.
He worked as a customer care representative and handled warranty claims, Lennar deputy general counsel Steve Lane said.
He often went into customers' homes as part of his job, Lane said.
There were two reports last week of a man looking in windows in the Legends of Hutto subdivision.
A woman who lives on Gainer Drive spotted a man peering into a neighbor's bathroom window Oct. 31. She told police that the man was wearing a Lennar jacket and was driving a green Jeep.
On Friday, someone reported seeing the same vehicle and a man peering into another home on the same street. When the man was approached by a neighbor, he identified himself as a Lennar employee and drove off.
Hutto police subsequently warned neighbors about the incidents.
Campbell admitted that he has a problem with peeping and that he had sought counseling, Thomas said.
