North Charleston - Two homeowners we talked to say that S.L.E.D. agent Pete Logan contacted them about the recent complaints against the homebuilder.
Lennar has been under fire accused of violating building codes...and the city of North Charleston for approving those homes.
John Hull owns one of them...and was contacted by investigator Logan.
"They were the watchers. And they sure didn't shove off the trouble they we all experienced. And they've elected not to help on our behalf..that is certainly visible or meaningful to us," said Hull.
A spokesman for S.L.E.D. acknowledged that the documents have been requested but said that doesn't mean there is an investigation underway. that spokesman told us we are not allowed to speak directly to investigator Logan, who is listed on the department's website as a fraud investigator.
North Charleston City Attorney Brady Hair did respond to the reports of S.L.E.D. contacting residents moments before the news started...and he says this is a conflict between Lennar and the homeowners--that the city has reacted appropriately to the situation.
