Building Delays
Brante Sampey just moved his family into a brand new Beazer home right before the New Year. He says, "When walking through, we realized many things missing like a tray ceiling that we paid for and the entire bath was pieced together and it's incomplete." Brante's master bathroom had no shower door, temporary sinks and counter tops. He says he was told at closing it would be installed with-in a few days, but that got delayed. |

Homeowners complain builders did shoddy work
Pinal County resident Etta Estes wrote "I hate my Beazer. Ask me why" on her truck. Citing her opinion of her Beazer Homes USA house isn't limited to her vehicle - it's also displayed on her Beazer-built home, her son's car and her 3-year-old's Big Wheel. In Gilbert's Trilogy at Power Ranch, two homeowners, Craig Chernoff and Jim Daniels, handed out pamphlets and made signs that stated, "Awareness - Residents of Trilogy," which Chernoff held on neighborhood streets to inform people about the issues they had with Shea Homes. |

Residents of The Enclave hope bricks and windows will solve ongoing problems with seeping water
It's a familiar story in The Enclave, a desirable south Lexington neighborhood of 148 houses that has been turned into a construction zone of debris containers and scaffolding. Most of the houses, which sell for up to $240,000, have suffered water damage, and Beazer Homes -- which bought the company that built the subdivision -- is in the middle of massive repairs. |

Nailing door shut on class action ...the high court's Dec. 15 decision, which reversed Earl's earlier decision granting class action status to about 200 homeowners in the Village at Craig Ranch in North Las Vegas in a lawsuit against Beazer Homes. In that case, a jury sided with homeowners who blamed expansive soils for changes to foundations, defective framing and drywalling and leaking windows...Monday's ruling by Earl prevented a construction-defect lawsuit involving 689 homeowners in Sun City Summerlin from expanding to class action status involving 7,800 residents, he said. |

News 3 Las Vegas Beazer Homes Ripped Apart To Support Defect Claims "There have been concerns all throughout the neighborhood where houses have been tested and had a lot of mold⦠The invasive testing going on at Mary Fiel's house and 13 others in Vista Del Oro is part of a construction defect lawsuit filed about a year ago against Beazer Homes⦠Jewel White is another Vista Del Oro homeowner. "This was my retirement dream, which has turned into a nightmare." The lawsuit, which is pending clearance for class action status, alleges Beazer knew about the defects and in many cases, failed to act. "Nobody wanted to sue them. We asked them time and time again to fix things and they wouldn't do it." Things like water leaks, plumbing and electrical problems and mold.
