K. Burgess' Full Statement
[With comments by HOBB added]
We see the Dateline story as an opportunity for Pulte Homes to reaffirm
its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Although we feel the
story was biased and in no way reflective of our company, we are disappointed
with having delivered even a single home that does not meet the customerís
expectations, nor our own.
Pulte can take this "opportunity" and resolve the Couch's situation.
(They were featured on the show) As of today, that has not happened. You
may be "disappointed" about a single home, but it seems that is all you
are at this point and have been for a month. Quit being disappointed, meet
their expectations, and get over it.
Among some of the important facts presented to Dateline, but omitted
from their story, is that Pulte Homes has one of, if not the best warranties
in the industry. In addition, the Company has been recognized as a leader
for having the lowest warranty claims in the industry.
Any potential homebuyer should not take Dateline's word or Pulte
word for this. Get a copy of Pulte's warranty and read it. See for yourself
if Dateline was telling all the truth. Read it. The limitations might open
your eyes. If a warranty is so extremely limited, then it is not
hard to have the "lowest warranty claims in the industry" since most everything
is not covered.
Pulte Homes has grown to be among the nationís largest homebuilders
based on our reputation for delivering quality homes and superior customer
service. We will continue to work hard every day to satisfy and delight
each Pulte homebuyer.
How about making the Couch's satisfied and delighted? You haven't
done it yet. |
