A Comparison of Consumer Protection for
A New Car vs A New Home

This is a comparison of buying a new car and a new home in Texas. You will notice that Texas strongly believes in protecting your investment in your car, but not in your new home.

Bottom Line:
I can buy a high quality car with an outstanding warranty that I probably will never need and I have the guarantee by the State with the Vehicle Lemon Law that the car will be bought back if the dealer cannot or refuses to fix it. I can buy in confidence.
Bottom Line:
I can buy "The Biggest Investment in My Life" with a warranty I hope I will never need, since it is so limited. I buy this knowing I have the least amount of protection for this purchase and with little or no confidence.
