NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) â Old Bridge's former community development director pleaded guilty Thursday to receiving illegal gifts from a developer doing business with the local government. John P. Vincenti, 43, of Brick, pleaded guilty in state Superior Court. Vincenti, also the township engineer, faces up to five years in prison when he is sentenced Feb. 24. The indictment charged that from May through August 2003, Vincenti solicited and received $3,800 from a representative of Atlantic Realty, an Old Bridge developer that manages several developments in the township. The money was used to pay for landscaping services at Vincenti's home, authorities said. |
