Charges Dropped Against Home Construction Watchdog ASSOCIATED PRESS - FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) _ Prosecutors have dropped charges against an activist for homeowners who had been accused of planting a small bomb in a neighborhood to influence a lawsuit. Tarrant County officials said Tuesday they dropped the charges last week against Janet Ahmad, National President of HomeOwners for Better Building . Ahmad had faced two felony counts of tampering with evidence related to a 911 call to Arlington police about an old military practice bomb found in a neighborhood. Her attorney, Mark Daniel, called the charges ""baseless."" ""Mrs. Ahmad has always been a capable advocate for the consumer opposing shoddy home construction,"" Daniel said.
