KSAT's Matt Rivers Report

SCHERTZ, Texas - A group of homeowners in Schertz say they are fed up with Pulte Homes and want their homes bought back by the company.

Residents in the Fairhaven neighborhood claim Pulte built shoddy homes on unstable foundation.

At least two dozen people showed up to a meeting on Monday night held by the non profit group HomeOwners For Better Building.

The goal was to make sure everyone is on the same page when it comes to a letter homeowners plan on sending to Pulte Homes.

Each letter demands that a home be bought back and organizers are expecting at least 80 of those letters to be sent out in the coming weeks.

Pulte Homes has offered to fix or repair the damages that include cracked foundations and broken water pipes, but homeowners say it's not good enough because repairs in the past are only become temporary fixes.

The group plans to mail the letters in unison at a local post office on Jan. 14 and they hope to hear from Pulte Homes not long after that.
