Texas Residential Construction Commission (TRCC) Officials meet Saturday with Homeowners in Sundance as part of its Investigation of KB Home
State Officials met at the Sundance Community Center with Homeowners as part of their investigation of KB Home. The meeting is a direct result of Sundance Homeowner Leadership who traveled to the State Capitol to attend a Lobby Day event and to testify at committee hearings on legislation introduced by their Rep. David Leibowitz, including one to abolish TRCC. The group visited legislative offices, and met with the Executive Director of the Texas Residential Construction Commission (TRCC) to present a petition containing over 60 homeowner signatures claiming: That the KB Home sales consultants specifically represented Sundance as an Upscale community featuring more expensive homes and that KBs actions were deceptive and deliberate false advertisement. The issues: Construction defects, and after purchasing homes families learned of KB Homes intentions to build houses as much as 2/3 smaller than their existing homes starting at $90,000/$10,000; less than half what other homeowners paid.
