TRCC No Help for Active Duty Soldier as DR Horton Ignores Warranty Responsibility
A Senior Non-Commissioned Officer in the USAF currently deployed in support of our country soldierâs response to an e-mail from Texas Residential Construction (TRCC). James Winslow has testified at the Capitol and the San Antonio City Council on several occasions asking for help to make DR Horton accept warranty responsibility for his defective home. Winslow and his family continue to struggle through TRCC nearly 2 years without resolution. See Jim Winslow.Statesman Blog.com & Goodnight TRCC. Kathleen,
Thank you for your letter. This was agreed to before I left, so it comes as no surprise. I am a little disappointed that the letter specified the tile grout in the kitchen traffic are since the grout had damage throughout the tile from the front door to the kitchen areas. Even though the builder attempted to repair all the areas, the resulting damage will need repairs as well. This is conveniently overlooked as the builderâs responsibility because it was not adequately addressed in the poorly written inspection report accomplished by the âthird party (city) inspectorâ and ratified by the TRCC.
Furthermore, your attempt to close this file without adequately addressing the remaining damage caused by the builderâs poor attempts to fix other defects is still an issue that needs need to be resolved. Please let me know the status of repairs to the damaged base flashing and negligent roof repairs at my front gable and over my garage. The fact remains the irresponsible report filed by your office has put me in a very difficult situation. Now instead focusing my attention on the builder and having them take responsibility for their inaction, I am forced to focus on a TRCC report that will hold a lot of weight in an arbitration process that is not held accountable for justice.
If the TRCC cannot understand thatâ¦Please contact me if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Jim Winslow
