It's not a block party or a home tour, at least not the kind you're used to.
It was a tour of Hutto's defective homes.
Neighbors said a majority of houses in three different neighborhoods built by Lennar Homes have been plagued with cracks, nail pops and mold, among numerous other problems.
Tuesday night, representatives from the state heard homeowners' concerns.
"The builder lied to us about the soil being expansive, on a federal form, so if they would just buy back the homes or just stop building," homeowner Renee Crenshaw said.
"I would encourage these folks to contact us. We can't help unless we know about it," Patrick Fortner with the Texas Residential Construction Commission said. "So right now, this is the first time I've talked to a lot of these people."
The Texas Residental Construction Commission said they've only received about seven complaints from people in Hutto.
Most residents said they filed complaints with the builder.
Officials from Lennar could not be reached for comment.
