Lennar Inspector Inspects Windows

Police Looking For Peeping Tom In Hutto
Police are searching for a Peeping Tom in Hutto after neighbors spotted a man looking into bathroom windows twice last week...The man said he worked for Lennar Homes and was just doing a home inspection... Some neighbors said they have seen Lennar employees inspecting early but not like this. "For them not to stop and say, 'I got your information. I'm inspecting this house.' Why didn't he just show it and say, 'This is my identification,' and that's unusual for him to have done, just to take off," said neighbor Emily Ojeda.

Police are searching for a Peeping Tom in Hutto after neighbors spotted a man looking into bathroom windows twice last week.

The incidents occurred at the Legends of Hutto subdivision in the 200 block of Gainer Drive.

Police said the first report came in at about 7 a.m. Wednesday. Two days later, a man driving the same suspicious green S.U.V. was spotted peeping in another window at about 6 in the morning by a different neighbor, who confronted him.

The man said he worked for Lennar Homes and was just doing a home inspection.

Police said they are trying to figure out why he was really out there.

"At least communicate with him to keep him from doing it in the future, but it concerns us whenever you have somebody looking into windows," said Chief Harold Thomas of the Hutto Police Department.

Police said they know who the suspect is, and they just need to talk to him.

The suspect is described as a balding black man, and although he was described by neighbors as wearing a Lennar jacket, police are not saying if he is an employee of the company.

KXAN Austin News put in a call to Lennar Homes about the incident, but the calls were not returned.

If police arrest the man, he could be charged with a Class C misdemeanor.
