The Houston Chronicle reported this information but left out some very pertinant information; therefore I will leave out the report from the Chronicle and put a link to Texas For Public Justice for the whole story:

http://www.tpj.org/page_view.jsp?pageid=1359&pubid=1132

This has got to be about as low and dispicable as it gets.

I guess we get confused in thinking someone who is financially very successful must have some sort of higher personal values than, say a common criminal. That just isn't the case.

Thinking of a time I got a little stuck in the snow. Before I could get out to get loose one of those homeless looking people appeared and broke my car free. I don't think he did it for money, as if you'd seen my car back then, no one would think I had anything. (And I didn't) That was charity from someone who could do very little but still did what he could.

Hearing the history of Bob Perry on this board, I feel confident he wouldn't piss on someone who was on fire, unless he was going to make a buck for it. He's the ideal Republic philanthropist, who would never GIVE anyone anything unless it was self serving. Still they call it donations, and philanthropy. But that's only to those people who don't get tripped up on the trial of victims his money creates.   Tongue

What is  more infuriating is the Houston Chronicle would leave his name out as if protecting him.
The same Houston Chronicle that wrote articles on numerous elected officals that used campaign donations for their own self serving personal use and then endorsed these same people. Does the word hypocrite come to mind?
