I can't find anyplace to properly thank the fine work of the NAHB (National Association Of Homebuilders) as Bush did a few years ago, for saving the American economy, and making the American dream of home ownership come true for millions of Americans. Their devotion to blocking consumer protection legislation in every state chapter, and preventing meaningful forms of accountability and liability for their industry has panned out to be a real blessing in home affordability for all?

As foreclosure rates have reached one quarter of a million families per month, thank you NAHB for that show of deep concern of American's ability to own the American dream. As serious new home construction defects went into the millions of homes during the big boom, thanks again NAHB for making most all those mistakes profitable for big name builders, though it was often devastating for the families who bought them.

And thanks for the typical endless spin on the whole situation, so maybe most people may never know how much you've really done for to Americans. Usually a war is needed to put so many families out of their homes so fast, as refugees.

*If they responded, which they won't, they'd say a number have factors having nothing to do with them caused the current crisis. But of course when we all saw Bush praising them (and their big contribution check) , no one from the NAHB jumped up and said "you should thank the buyers, not us." Whenever any problem comes up with this industry it is inevitably someone else that’s to blame.

I reserve the right to make as many errors in my statements as builders make in new home construction.

Are you referring to Brian Binash's editorial in the Houston Chronicle  declaring how strong the homes are here in Houston or are you referring to Will Holden's editorial declaring how lucky we are we haven't been hit like other cities as far as foeclosures. Tell that to the thousands who foreclosed and the thousands that have defective houses. If ya want Ron, I can send you MR. Binash and MR. Holden's email's so you can thank-them personally. Grin
