In 2005 several dozen victims of homebuilders and contractors met on the steps of the Texas Capitol. One of the victims was a lovely lady named Lisa Partington. Lisa had cancer, she was tired but not to be defeated. After visiting our state rep. I saw Lisa sitting on a bench. It was hard for her to walk. I took her things and we went inside the cafeteria for lunch. Lisa kept repeating she would not live to see things resolved after her builder scammed her family. Lisa knew her time was limited. What she also knew was her cancer was in remission before she and her husband started building their "dream home
This is Lisa's story:

Think about the mentality of legislatures that can see victims like this session after session and still do nothing to make changes. They are no different then the builders themselves in my opinion.
