32  General Category / General Discussion / Re: What the Houston Chronicle left out on: October 29, 2008, 03:37:33 am
What is  more infuriating is the Houston Chronicle would leave his name out as if protecting him.
The same Houston Chronicle that wrote articles on numerous elected officals that used campaign donations for their own self serving personal use and them endorsed these same people. Does the word hypocrite come to mind?
33  Interact by Region / Texas / and yet another builder in good standing with the Houston BBB bites the dust. on: October 28, 2008, 04:46:32 pm
People should be careful of using the BBB as a barometer to see if they will be using an ethical builder. No one knows who will be folding and consumers should do their due diligence in regards to buying in a new development.

From ripoff report: Seems like the BBB in Houston is intent on keepng these guys as good clients. good customers.
When you read the report you will see where they went to court and rescheduled 2X. That seems to be their MO.
They did that 2x  at a BBB mediation with several families. Then they had the audacity to say The homeowner agreed to arbitration and cancelled at the last minute. That was another big, fat lie from this company.  The mediation at the BBB was sooo bad why would one pursue anything else with people who collect dues from the company that victimizes you.
You will notice where this family says they received no help from the BBB.

I have been told that when people click on this link they report either takes too long or does not come up. If that is the case just go to ripoff report and search for Legend. You will see a report that says a 5 year old home falling apart.

Legend Homes loves to stress their useless warranty. Here is their blurb.
With this company it is as good as not having any warranty.
No warranty, they take no responsibility. When they bring in their "own experts" who find something wrong they then dismiss the findings. Once again, they are supported by the Better Business Bureau in Houston.

So, we have a company that had to pay a family in arbitration and they had to keep their mouths shut. They are cancelling court dates as they are getting sued and yet ladies and gentlmen here is what the BBB says about their good customers:

38  Interact by Region / Texas / Legend Homecorp.-Part-ll please scroll through this forum to see Legend Homecorp on: October 26, 2008, 04:52:11 am
I thought it quite comical when I did searches and it takes quite a bit to find my postings under Legend.
During the time I have been posting they have gone from Legend, Legend Homes, Legend Homecorps, so as they change, my complaints go further back. They of course keep adding more stuff to the web that pushes complaints back.

40  General Category / General Discussion / What the Houston Chronicle left out on: October 22, 2008, 07:02:17 pm
The Houston Chronicle reported this information but left out some very pertinant information; therefore I will leave out the report from the Chronicle and put a link to Texas For Public Justice for the whole story:

http://www.tpj.org/page_view.jsp?pageid=1359&pubid=1132

This has got to be about as low and dispicable as it gets.

41  Interact by Region / Florida / Maronda Homes- Shoddy construction to hundreds of homes on: October 21, 2008, 05:45:00 pm
At first a class action lawsuit was on the range but attorneys dropped out as different  homeowners received different damages which may not warrant a class action suit.
What is a given was the shoddy construction.

AND once again let me say I found Legend Homecorp. through the Better Business Bureau in Houston and they are still supported as goods customers.

By the way Ripoff  Report has comprised an entire section on different BBB's quite extensive with complaints.
43  General Category / General Discussion / Legend Homes- continued on: October 20, 2008, 03:12:11 am
Since there is an issue with my previous postings on Legend Homecorp.  in Houston (if you cannot see the postings log out  and read them) I will continue with a new thread part II.
Almost every home was effected  from hurricane IKE in my subdivision. I of course had extensive roof damage.
When the roofers came to replace it they showed me all the rotted wood that was caused by years of leakage. Another one of Legend's subcontractor's that is defunct.
Some of the second story homes actually had the top floors fall in. The older homes nearby did not suffer near the damage we did.
