Title: Help Save Homeowners Values in This Community! Post by: responsible_dvlpmnt on December 14, 2006, 08:57:23 am Visit http://missouricitychatter.blogspot.com for more on this skyscraper (170 ft high hundreds of acres) BFI landfill in the tri-county area (Harris, Fort Bend & Brazoria). Barium leaks have been detected and are very hazardous and water soluable (travel well in water tables).
If you want to really help then e-mail our city council and ask them to support our efforts to stop this expansion into a mega-landfill (and recycle if you aren't already): Mayor@ci.mocity.tx.us, owenwall@wellsfargo.com, Council2@ci.mocity.tx.us, brjimerson@jimerson.net, bburton@ci.mocity.tx.us, Councila@ci.mocity.tx.us, ehrieiter@hal-pc.org, donsmith@ci.mocity.tx.us, Councilb@ci.mocity.tx.us, bkolaja@ci.mocity.tx.us, Council1@ci.mocity.tx.us Title: Re: Help Save Homeowners Values in This Community! Post by: scammed on December 14, 2006, 12:50:40 pm I attended a town hall meeting yesterday. An environmentalist who works for the city was a speaker. After the meeting I asked him his thoughts on the landfill. He said he was not that familair with the situation but he did hear of it. He made a comment in regards to recycling certain materials instead of ending up with a skyscraper landfill.
