What can anyone say in the decision of Perry vs. Cull. The corruption continues. Our justices bought and paid for in my opinion. Let's not forget the Medina caper which is really just beginning.
If our elected officals did care their campaign contribution would be lessened.
Having met the Culls I can tell you all they are a class couple, soft spoken, humble and people of integrity.
What can one say about Bob Perry? I will leave that for you to judge.
Everwhere you look in the state of Tx. corruption.
The BBB covering up for scandalous builder and closing out complaints-corruption.
TRCC overturning their own inspector's decision for the homeowner when the builder protested-corruption.
One way to change it-get out and vote  "people" out of office who have passed laws that allow this to happen.

 I'm surprised more people have not commented on the injustice.

Sometimes people are left speechless.

I too believe that 'what goes around, comes around.'  Sometimes we get to see crooks get their comeuppance sooner rather than later, but too many times it just takes too long.  Some deeply religious homeowners I've known have been willing to let God sort it out.  I was never that patient. 

and sometimes the apathy is so thick that you can cut it with a knife.

What does it take to change things,  such as the civil rights movement. People who will stand up and be a part of the change, it take numbers. We do not have that and that is why in my opinion there is still such apathy.
The victims are there  but they will not step forward, they crawl in their holes and keep their mouths  shut.
Any change takes an outcry.

What I don’t understand is that I have not seen a drop in e-mail, letters, phone call complaints, and community organization to fight back.  To the contrary, I have seen a sharp increase. The traffic on the sight is consistently over $1 million a month.

What is troubling is why more people are not participating on the forum.  It must have something to do with the forum itself.  If HOBB is serving the needs of victims and the traffic is high, then why are people not taking advantage of the opportunity to be heard?

 Any ideas what can be done to make the forum more inviting?

Maybe I'm losing my vision but I can't see a LINK to this forum anywhere on your home page anymore.  I get here because I saved the link directly to the forum.  Under your Main Menu I see only the following, no more "forum" or "message board" or whatever it was before it disappeared.

That said, I have seen less traffic on a lot of forums except the ones talking about foreclosures.  :(

BTW, I just tried to post a comment in the Lennar forum and when I clicked submit it said "Error--hacking attempt."  I hate hackers.  They should be shot.  I hope that this one works.

Jane, "Visit Hobb Forums" is a button that can be found at the top of the leftmost column on the homepage, right below the tabs that you mentioned. You are correct in that the previous "Forums" tab was eliminated in favor of the present button.

Janet, Your website contains a HUGE amount of information. Navigating it can be a little intimidating to the newcomer. If there's some way to highlight the "Visit Hobb Forums" button by using a different font color (red?) or having it flash or something similar, then that may attract more attention to it.

On the other hand, I don't see people rushing to tell their story and that puzzles me. NOTHING will change unless people come forward and share their stories.

We took the button off becasue there were too many buttons across the top.
Instead I put a feature on the left side    "Visit HOBB Forums"

I just saw the last post by Ray Koenig while responding and will change the color.  You comments and suggestions are appreciated.

That has happened to me numerous times. I will get a hacking notice first time I click, then try it again and it is ok???

Jane, I too have encountered the "hacking attempt" message on several occasions.

Janet, Needless to say, encountering this message can have a chilling effect on those who might be trying to post to the forums, particularly those who are new to the website.

I’ve asked dozens of people to post their complaints about my home’s builder on HOBB (or anywhere public), and even offered to make them a page on my ryanhomesnightmare site. They never have. If they give a reason, some say they are trying to work things out with the builder, and they don’t want to do anything to aggravate them.

A few do get resolve, just on the threat of going public or have gone public, and the builder’s cooperation ALWAYS includes non-disclosure and/or removal of any public complaints. I like to believe I do help some victims who ask, in that they can take the division’s customer service people to my website or HOBB, with the threat they can easily unite with another victim, and become a much bigger public problem.

Many start out full of fire, and after a few weeks, become apathetic. Most people are happy just to get their ordeal over with as fast as possible, no matter what or who else is affected. Ed’s Bad Business Bureau is the only place complaints about my builder can’t disappear to serve builder tactics, which I think prevents some people form posting there, as it’s so final, and leaves nothing to negotiate with for victims.

I think in most cases when people qualify to buy a home, most have been long and well conditioned to follow the system, believe in it to a large degree, and accept it by nature. Rocking the boat on a large scale is not a typical way to prosperity or the American dream. They may do it to solve their own private issues, or if they go public, it’s some philanthropic cause that puts them a positive light in doing so.

Since, according to builders, they have no real quality problems, but rather only problem customers, many people who have not been victims look at us with sort of a confused apathy. The industry’s broadcast lies on the issues may not be taken all at face value by the public, but they’re still enough to cast doubt on the real blite of victims. It’s similar to rape victims, as inevitably the defendant puts the victim on trial, and many will not go through that added pain and humiliation to get deserved justice. That’s my general take on why many people are not as active as they should be on this.

I was surprised to see over 500 reads on an earlier post of mine that I put under "South Carolina". thinking about it though, it makes sense that people would go to the state where they live or they're thinking of buying.

Ray, why not post a new thread and repeat your idea.
Anything on your builder put under your state and general discussion. If it is about issues such as arbitration, mortgage fraud etc. add the same thread to those forums.
Don't know how anybody could miss all that.
