Title: On Veteran's Day
Post by: marc on November 11, 2007, 11:05:00 am
Several years ago right after I bought  my house of horrors my father a WW11 Veteran became ill with Leukemia. For all the months he was ill he asked repeatedly that his WW11 Memorabilia be donated to the WW11 Museum In Washington D.C. This was his dying wish. I contacted the museum and they responded in how honored they would be to have his items. After a mourning period I decided to send those articles to the museum. This is when I discovered the horrible defect that plagues this house today. My father's precious and historic WW11 items were ruined. The damage was incredible. This builder couldn't care less. Beside all the other items that fell apart in the house nothing will ever be able to replace historical memorabilia.
I could not fulfill my father's dying wish because of this builder.
The dispicable excuses this builder has come up with are mind boggling, but then I wonder what  is the mentality of a legislature that had the power to change this and did not.
There will never be a Veteran's day, a Memorial Day or any day that I will not hold my "builder" accountable for their shoddy construction that caused the  demise of priceless articles that should be in a museum today.
